Site for future expansion of Meon Medical Centre
The concept masterplan for the proposed development includes the provision of an approximately 0.1ha parcel of land to facilitate the future expansion of Meon Medical Centre. A new dedicated access to the Medical Centre will be provided through this parcel along with significantly expanded car parking facilities. This in turn will release space for the expansion of the building should this be an aspiration of the Medical Centre and the local NHS to meet the future needs of the community.
The development will deliver a significant expansion of car parking facilities at Meon Medical Centre, providing the potential for future expansion of the medical centre. Click to enlarge
Investing in wider community infrastructure
A key consideration with a planning proposal such as this is to ensure that local services receive the investment they need to serve the additional demand arising from the development.
In addition to the site for the expansion of Meon Medical Centre that will be provided by the proposed development, significant investment into local infrastructure such as healthcare and education will also be generated by the plans.
The scope of financial contributions will be informed by consultation carried out by Stratford-on-Avon District Council with statutory bodies such as the local NHS Integrated Care Board, highways authorities and the Local Education Authority on their requirements.
Agreed financial contributions will be secured via a legally-binding agreement (called a Section 106 agreement) between Barratt Redrow and the council.
The development will also generate significant Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) funding that will be paid to the council towards other infrastructure requirements.
We understand that community infrastructure is a key priority of existing residents. Please use our feedback questionnaire to tell us your priorities for infrastructure investment.

The development will generate funding to support local community infrastructure and services. The level of investment will be determined by the council in consultation with bodies such as the NHS, local education teams, etc.
