A landscape-led approach to the design of the proposed development has been taken from the outset. This has taken into account the important of maintaining separation between Upper and Lower Quinton, as well as important key views set out in relevant policies in the Quinton Neighbourhood Plan.
This approach sees development focused to the northern end of both field parcels which make up the site. The result is the provision of extensive new public open space in the southern portion of the site. Not only will this provide a new outdoor recreation resource, with landscape planting, a play area and a network of walking and cycling routes, but it will also provide a permanent and enduring green buffer between Upper and Lower Quinton.
